Obituary

HURLEY, Marjorie Grace-84, Middleton, NS, passed away peacefully August 9, 2010 in Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Grafton, Kings County, she was a daughter of the late Hibbert and Julia (Rafuse) Salzman. She was a member of the Middleton Baptist Church for most of her adult life. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed sharing with others; especially her tomatoes. She was the centre of all family gatherings and was loved for her quiet wisdom. Her door was always open for family, friends and neighbors. She is survived by daughter, Linda (Greg) Gates, Hammonds Plains, NS; sons, Blair (Jodie Coles), North Bay, ON; Glenn (Stefani), South Farmington, NS; grandchildren, Braeden, Jarred and Monica; sisters-in-law, Alice Burchett, Kingston; Vera Salzman, Caledonia; Madge Salzman, St. Paul, AB; June Salzman, Waterville, NS and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Keith and brothers, Joseph, Gordon, Stanley, Budd, Lorimer and twin brother, Allison, in infancy. Thank you to Dr. David MacKinnon and the nursing staff of Soldiers Memorial Hospital for their kindness and care. Visitation will be held 7:00 to 9:00PM, Thursday, August 12, 2010 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, (902) 825-3448, where the funeral service will be held 11:00AM, Friday, August 13, 2010, Rev. Danny Smith officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Somerset.
