August 22, 1934 – February 28, 2020
LOOMER, Marjorie "Mardy" Josephine ~ 85, Wilmot, passed away peacefully in Grand View Manor, Berwick, with family and lots of love surrounding her. She grew up in Garland's Crossing, a daughter of the late Minnie (Whitehead) and Donald MacDonald. Marjorie was a strong entrepreneur with Dad, owning the greenhouse business and carrying on businesses with her son, Garnet. She worked in retail as manager and sales also for several years. She was an active member of Women's Institute, All Saints Anglican Church, Kingston, and several other groups. Marjorie loved to bowl, square dance, play card games, and cross country skiing. She also enjoyed knitting, sewing, quilting, baking and cooking. She loved family gatherings and going out with her friends. She was always active. Surviving are her special friend Rod Smiley, Welsford; her children Jean Loomer, Kentville; Garnet (Diana King) Loomer, Wilmot; Heather Loomer (Danny Frost), Kingston; grandchildren Pamela MacGillivray (Robert), Tracy Chute, Cynthia Chute, Erin Veinot (Keila), Mitchell King (Carissa Cole), Rebeka King; great grandchildren Vanessa MacGillivray, Logan Nogler, Violet Veinot, Brooklynn Veinot, Jasper Veinot, Jacob King, Noah Waybret; siblings Gladys Joudry, Windsor; Mary Luckman (Steve Swinamer), Wilmot; Florence (Wesley) Butler, Whitby, ON; Gary MacDonald, Garland's Crossing. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Kenneth; special friend Jim MacPhee; brothers Gilbert, Hughie, Erwin, William "Wed", Ivan, Maxie, Donnie, Clarey, and Bruce. Visitation will be held 7-9 pm Wednesday, March 4, 2020 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., 902-825-3448. Funeral service will be held 2:00 pm, Thursday, March 5, 2020 in the All Saints Anglican Church, Kingston, Rev. Paul Jennings officiating. Reception for family and friends will follow the service in the church hall. Interment in the Wiswall Cemetery, Wilmot. Donations in Marjorie's memory may be made to the All Saints Anglican Church or a charity of choice. The family would like to say a special thank you to Dr. Maclean, Victorian Order of Nurses, Annapolis Valley Home Care as well as to Grand View Manor for care given to their mother.
