Obituary

LABRADOR, Marjorie May – age 91 of Middleton, NS formerly of Meadowvale. It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of my dear mother Marjorie Labrador. She passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 in the Heart of the Valley Long Term Care Centre, Middleton. Mom was an avid Elvis Presley fan. She was a great cook and homemaker. She had a large collection of porcelain dolls. She loved to go shopping for clothes and jewellery. Marjorie was the champion of Table Top Bowling at the Heart of the Valley Long Term Care Centre where she has been a resident for the past 7 years. She also loved a good feed of clams and chips from time to time. Marjorie is survived by her daughters Kathleen "Kathy" Wade (Howard Andrews), Greenwood and Frances Lewis, Calgary, AB; granddaughter Roseanne Simpson, Burlington, ON that she raised as her daughter from infancy; son, Kenneth Labrador, Woodstock, ON; 7 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Marjorie is the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was predeceased by her parents Edward and Blanche (Brewster) Hazel; her husband George Labrador and companion Hector Emeneau; sons, Andrew and infant son Edward; brothers Ralph, Clarence, Vincent and Wentworth. I would like to thank Dr. Michele Saxon and all the wonderful nurses and staff for all the love and care that they have given to Mom and for all their kindness that was given to me while staying there with my mom. They are all so remarkable and caring people. Visitation will be held 7-9PM Friday, August 11, 2017 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448 where the funeral service will be held 2:00PM Saturday, August 12, 2017 with Rev. Deacon Don Boudreau officiating.. A reception for family and friends will follow the service followed by graveside service in the St. Lawrence Cemetery, Kingston.
