LYNK, Marjorie Marie 73, of Greenwood, NS, passed away peacefully on 22 August, 2011, at Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton surrounded by her loving family. Marjorie was born in St. Josephs, Salmonier, NL on January 31, 1938 and was the daughter of the late Fergus and Caroline (Long) Power. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Joe, daughters, Charlene Lundrigan (Ray Jodrey), Grande Prarie, AB and Shawna Dunsworth (Jim), Halifax; 6 sisters: Nancy Kearsey, St. Johns NL, Monica Ryan (Jurek), St. Johns NL, Hilda Gutscher (Ken) Kitchener ON, Augusta Gough (Martin), St. Josephs NL, Carol Valcourt (Nelson), Labrador City NL, Marie Hancock (Alastaire), Edmonton AB, and 4 brothers; Fergus (Ruby) Kingston, ON, Don (Pauline), Salmonier, NL, Bruce (Sheila), St. Catherines NL and Greg (Elizabeth) Dartmouth, NS, and precious grandchildren Dustin (Christina), Alix, Jordan, Jenny, Adam and great-granddaughter Vayda. Marjorie was predeceased by son Craig. Marjorie was a caring, kind and loving wife and mother who had an infectious sense of humour and always saw the best in people. She will be surely missed by everyone who knew her. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held from 7-9 PM Wednesday, August 24th at the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St. (902) 825-3448. CWL prayers at 8 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, August 25th at Queen of Heaven Chapel, 14 Wing Greenwood, Father Gerald Saulnier officiating. Interment to follow funeral mass at St. Lawrence Cemetery, Kingston. Reception to follow in the Church Annex. By request, family flowers only. Donations in Marjories memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
