Obituary

WOODLAND, Mark Lloyd "Woody" ~ It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Mark Lloyd "Woody" Woodland, 54 of Kingston. Mark passed away peacefully at home on December 6, 2018 with his family by his side after a courageous 2 ½ year battle with cancer. Born in Deep Brook on April 16, 1964, Mark was the beloved son of Lloyd and Carol (McFadden) Woodland, Upper Clements.

Mark was a graduate of AWEC Annapolis Royal and NSCC Middleton as an Industrial Electrician. He was a valued employee of Norm Smith Electric Limited, Greenwood for 31 years. Mark was multi-talented and could build or fix anything. He was always there when anyone needed a helping hand. He was an avid fisherman and was happiest when he was fishing from his bass boat waiting for the big one to bite. Surviving besides his parents are his wife Paula Woodland (Janes), step-son David Janes (Lisa) and cherished granddaughter Presley of Mount Uniacke, sister Angie Wiles (Roger) of Drayton Valley, Alberta and nephews Cody Wiles, Winnipeg, Manitoba and Colin Wiles, Edmonton, Alberta. Memorial donations may be made to Brigadoon Village or the Children's Wish Foundation.

In honouring Mark's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448 on Saturday, December 15, 2018 from 2:00PM to 4:00PM. Mark expressed his wishes that everyone come in relaxed dress. Online guestbook may be signed by visiting: www.middletonfuneralhome.com
