ELLIOTT, Marty Louis – Age 60 passed away Wednesday August 15, 2018 in the QEII VG Site, Halifax surrounded by his loving family. Born in Digby, he was a son of Shirley and Norma (Crocker) Elliott, Kingston. In his early years, Marty worked as a delivery driver for S. Elliott Fuels. Marty retired as a Marine Engineer with The ferry service, crossing Grand Passage for over 30 years. He was an avid motorcyclist and loved attending car shows in his beloved 1990 Mustang GT. Marty was a loyal Toronto Blue Jays fan and a dedicated Value Village Shopper. He loved country music and enjoyed playing his guitar. Marty is survived by his parents, Shirley and Norma Elliott, Kingston; fiancé, Edith "Edie" Tupper, Greenwich; daughter, Sonya (Jason) Frost, New Edinburgh, NS; son, Derek (Alicia) Elliott, Middle Sackville, brother, Alex Elliott (Gail Chalmers), Cornwallis, granddaughter, Ashlynn, step-daughters, Michelle (Doug) Bannister, Petitcodiac, NB; Crystal Tupper, Moncton, NB, step grandchildren Chloe, Cameron, Jonathan, Katelyn and nieces, Keighley Elliott and Jensen Elliott. Marty will also be sadly missed by his faithful companion "Buddy". He was predeceased by his grandparents Louis and Ollie (Outhouse) Elliott as well as the mother of his children, Frances "Ann" Elliott. In keeping with Marty's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, August 24, 2018 in the Tiverton Baptist Church with Pastor Tim Long and Rev. Rick Small officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant Hill cemetery, Tiverton. A Reception and farewell jam session will follow in the Tiverton Community Hall. Please bring your guitar or musical instrument, and everyone is welcome. Donations in Marty's memory may be made to the Tiverton Baptist Church.
