TAYLOR, Mary Evelyn Antoinette – age 82yrs of Bridgetown, NS formerly of Nictaux passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 in Mountain Lea Lodge, Bridgetown surrounded by her loving family. Born May 28,1935 in Saulnierville, she was a daughter of the late Leonard and Agnes (Shipley) Melanson. Evelyn enjoyed knitting and loved her family dearly, especially all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking and in her younger years loved to go skating. Evelyn was a long-time resident of Lawrencetown and Nictaux having lived there for over 80 years. She is survived by her daughter, Dwella Taylor, Meadowvale; her sons, David (Janet)Taylor, Middleton; Larry (Alice) Taylor, Nictaux; Jeff (Adele) Taylor, Melvern Square; Terry (Lisa) Taylor, South Farmington; her sisters, Barbara (Dennis) Robicheau, Nictaux; Daisy (Bob) Corbett, Woodstock, ON; her brother, John (Mary Jane) Melanson, Kingston; 11 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Ralph; sons Jack, Brian, Ronald; sisters Mary, Annie, Helen, Shirley; brothers, Fred, Charlie, George; 2 brothers in infancy and her great granddaughter Lexie in infancy. In keeping with Evelyn' s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 2:00PM Sunday, March 4, 2018 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448 with Rev. Bill McLeod officiating. A reception for family and friends will follow the service. Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Lawrencetown. By request, family flowers only please.
