BENJAMIN, Mary "Eleanor" ~ Age 81, of Burlington, Kings Co., passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born on March 23, 1942, in Middle Musquodoboit, she was a daughter of the late Charles "Stanley" and Helen Mae (Clattenburg) Webster. Eleanor was a devoted member of Burlington Baptist Church, where she served as Sunday School teacher and Superintendent for many years, then as clerk/treasurer. She was a faithful member of Burlington & District Women's Institute (and later Lakeville), Women's Retreat Ministries & Time for All Things. Eleanor enjoyed belonging to organizations that helped others. She also loved travelling with her friend Kim. Eleanor was devoted to her husband, children and family, never putting herself first and the door was always open to help others in the best ways possible. She enjoyed long talks to many dear and close friends. Surviving are her husband of 64 years, Hubert E. Benjamin; sons, Timothy (Theresa), Auburn; Steven (Grace), Windsor; Jeffery (Tracey), Aylesford; David, Kentville; daughter, Tina Davidson (Ricky), Kingston; grandchildren, Bradley (Jenni), Halifax; Brock (Melanie), Greenwood; Nicholas (Lauren), Aylesford; Blair, Aylesford; Kaylee Jones (Nick), Aylesford; Jazlyn, Dartmouth; great grandchildren, Vela, Lira, Mya, Ace, Rhett, Carter, Sophie, Kholie and Raelynn; brother, Robert Webster, Margaretsville; sisters, Jean Webster, Aylesford; Donna Thibideau, Alberta; and Ann Allman, Ontario; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by sister, Shirley Webster; brothers, Charles Webster and one in infancy. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Memorial service will take place 1 p.m., Monday, November 20, in Burlington Baptist Church, 25 Hall Rd., Burlington. Rev. Dr. Harry Gardner and Pastor Christina Bigelow officiating.
