BOATES (Taylor), Mary Alice – 98 of Berwick and formerly of Middleton passed away Saturday, April 30, 2016 in Grand View Manor, Berwick. Born in Clarence on June 13, 1917 she was the daughter of the late Charles and Effie (Rhynard) Grant. Mary is survived by sons Ivan (Josie) Taylor, Greenwood, John (Marilyn) Taylor, Middleton, Danny Taylor (Wendy Milner), Middleton; daughters Marilyn Chute (Wayne Verrette), Kingston, Audrey (Richard) Elmore, Middleton; brother Kenny (June) Grant, Bridgetown; sisters Joyce (James) Wiles, Calgary and Gladys Gates, Saint John; Survived by 13 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, step-children Tom (Jan) Boates, Arizona, Richard (Linda) Boates, Fredericton, Stanley (Janet) Boates, Melvern Square, David (Beverly) and Ronald (Louise) Boates both of Wilmot, Lawrence (Janet) Boates, Nicholsville, Margaret (Brian) Wagner, Meadowvale, Beverly (Robert) Taylor, Quispamsis and Nancy (Peter) Taylor, Trenton, ON. 24 step-grandchildren, 33 step-great grandchildren and four step-great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband Ansel Taylor and her second husband Keith "Bill" Boates; sons Murray and Gerald; sisters Idela, Ruth, Doris and Myrna; brothers George, Joe, Eddie and Freeman; four predeceased step-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, May 3 rd from the Middleton Funeral Home 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448. The funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday May 4 th from the Middleton Baptist Church with Rev. Danny Smith officiating. Interment will be in the Hillside Cemetery, Port George.
