June 4, 1945 – February 18, 2019
LITTLE, Mary Alice ~ age 73 of Middleton (formerly of Margaretsville) passed away Monday, February 18, 2019 in Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, Middleton, surrounded by family. Born in Plympton, NS, she was a daughter of the late John and Gladys (Amero) Blinn. Mary was employed as a waitress for many years. She enjoyed baking, playing Bingo, drinking her "lattés" and trying her luck with break-open tickets. She loved knitting and she knit many, many cotton dishcloths to donate and to give away to friends and sometimes even complete strangers. Mary was very devoted to her family and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by her daughters, Karen Trask, Wilmot; Heather Little (Shawn Brodeur), Berwick; son Michael Little, Kingston; grandchildren, Maryanne (Steve) Wagstaff; Zachary Trask (Jacey Turner); Harold Trask; Jared Trask; Devin Lewis; Isabelle Brodeur; Tabitha Little (John Harrison); great-grandchildren, Owen, Ben, Piper, Seth and Quinn; sisters, Celeste Sampson, Victoria, BC; Elaine (Sammy) Sampson, L'Ardoise; Linda (Robert) Amirault, Bear River; Patsy Blinn, Bear River; Elizabeth Blinn (Peter Hewitt), Acaciaville; and Wanda Blinn, Digby; brother, Raymond (Bonnie) Blinn, Bridgewater; and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Mary was predeceased by her husband, John (Red); an infant son, Derek; and brothers, Eugene, Dennis and Johnny. In keeping with Mary's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 22, 2019 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., 902-825-3448, with Rev. Deacon Don Boudreau officiating.
