MacFadyen, Mary Elma - 89 of Westport, Brier Island, NS. It is with great sadness that we mark the passing of a wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend on October 8th, 2012. Mary was born on Brier Island to Albert & Nora (Denton) Dakin on June 10th, 1923. Mary held a number of occupations but will be remembered best as a shopkeeper. Mary was usually in the company of her cat, enjoyed travelling, but most of all she really enjoyed driving around this end of the province exploring and shopping with Al. She will be remembered for her warm smile, sense of humour, and her Christian faith. Mary was predeceased by her parents, her sister Muriel, and her brothers Wiff (Wilfred) and Mack (Malcolm). She was survived by her husband Al (Albert); son, Wayne Chayko, Digby; and grandchildren Maria & Ryan. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
