Mary Louise Milner ~ age 86, of Meadowvale, NS passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Auburn, NS she was a daughter of the late Leland and Muriel (Durling) Milner. After a coasting accident left Mary deaf at a young age, she attended the School for the Deaf in Halifax. There she learned sign language and she welcomed many visitors in her home with this impairment. Mary's hobbies included knitting and puzzle solving. She cherished her plants and flowers very much. Mary is the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her longtime friend and neighbour, Marie Trimper; sisters, Ruby Winnifred, Hazel Mae, Shirley Rose, Doris Ellen; brothers, James, Ernest, Vaughn Stewart and another brother, both in infancy. A graveside service will be held 11:00AM, Wednesday, November 27, 2024, in Tremont Community Cemetery with Rev. Warren Jones officiating Donations in in her memory may be made to Society of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Nova Scotians or charity of your choice.
