STEWART, Mary Margaret-82, of East Tremont, passed away Friday, September 17, 2010 in Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Silver Mine, Cape Breton, she was a daughter of the late Norman and Florence (Arey) MacDonald. Margaret loved gardening and sewing. She devoted her life to raising and caring for her family whom she loved. She is survived by her husband Calvin Stewart whom she married in 1948; daughters, Anita Stewart; Judith Stewart and Linda Burbidge all of Greenwood; Gail Adams, Dartmouth; Valerie (Frank) Sproule, Berwick; sons, William Stewart, Dartmouth and Gerald Gerry Stewart, Toronto; sisters, Rhodena (Gradus) Smits, Glace Bay; Thelma Pronk, Grand Mira North, Cape Breton; brothers, Murray MacDonald, Ontario and Aubrey MacDonald, Cleveland, Cape Breton; grandchildren, Jaime and Michael Burbidge. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by sisters, Sarah and Edith; brothers, Gordon and Donald Alexander. Cremation to take place. By Margarets request, there will be no visitation or service.
