Mary Louise White's Obituary
White, Mary Louise ~ age 86, of Brickton, NS, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, in Annapolis Royal Nursing Home. Born on May 31, 1939, in North Williamston, NS, Mary was a daughter of the late Levi "Lee" and Katherine (Woodbury) Whitman.
Mary was employed at the pharmacy in Bridgetown for 47 years, where she worked as a certified dispenser. In her younger years, she enjoyed ceramics, sewing, and camping. A true animal lover, Mary had a special fondness for corgis, especially her beloved dog, Mandy. Above all, Mary devoted her life to her family. She especially cherished time spent together at Sunday suppers and took great joy in visits from her grandchildren.
Mary is survived by daughter, Linda White-Holloway, Greenwood; son, Ron (Michelle) White, Victoria Vale; son-in-law, Alain Verstichelen, South Farmington; grandchildren, Daniel White, Greenwood; Nathalie Verstichelen (Chris Correia), Leduc, AB; Nicole (Logan) Toole, Fredericton, NB; sister, Frances Drew, Auburn; brothers, Bob Whitman, Middleton; John Whitman, Ottawa, ON; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Mary is predeceased by her beloved husband, Donald and daughter, Lisa Marie Verstichelen.
A Graveside Service will be held 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 16, 2026 in Fairview Cemetery, Lawrencetown. Donations in memory of Mary may be made to the Victorian Order of Nurses, Annapolis Valley Branch.
