Obituary

SCOTNEY, Maurice Ronald – age 83, Aylesford, Kings Co., died peacefully on Friday, November 10, 2017, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Berwick, he was the eldest son of the late Delbert and Dorothy (Nixon) Scotney. Maurice worked in his father's box factory and later worked at odd jobs. He was a member of Aylesford Baptist Church. He is survived by brothers, Kenneth (Eva), Walter (Charlotte), Albert (Joan); sisters, Norma (Hugh) Barteaux, Marie (Bill) Goucher, Elaine Misner; sister-in-law, Carol Scotney; half-sister, Marlene (Tom) Walsh; half-brothers, Corey (Joanne), Danny (Kathy) and Jeffrey; many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brother, Lindsay; step-mother, Vera. There will be no visitation. Memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 15, in Aylesford Baptist Church, 2543 Hwy No. 1, Aylesford. Rev. Clyde Lowe officiating with interment in Berwick Cemetery. Donations in his memory may be made to Aylesford Baptist Church or to Grand View Manor, Berwick.
