Thurber, Melda Evelyn – Age 85 of Lawrencetown Annapolis Co., formerly of Tiverton, Digby Co., passed away Saturday, March 19, 2022 in Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Digby, February 1, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Kendrick Outhouse and Beulah Outhouse. Melda worked for The Beaver Fruit Co-op in Lawrencetown for many years. She enjoyed listening to country music and singing hymns especially with staff and friends at Grace Haven Home for Seniors, Paradise. Melda is survived by her sons, Randy Bent (Kathy), North Williamston and Brian Bent (Tami), Lawrencetown; daughters, Joanne Bent (Pete) and Connie Balcom (Blair), both of North Williamston; 7 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren. Besides her parents, Melda was predeceased by her infant sister, Ruperta Outhouse; stepfather, Charles Thimot and stepmother Freda Outhouse. A graveside service will be held 2:00PM Saturday, March 26, 2022 in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Tiverton with Lou Outhouse officiating. Donations in memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
