CLAYTON-WELTON, Mellisa Dawn – age 34 of South Farmington, NS passed away suddenly on Thursday, December 22, 2016, in Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Middleton, she was a daughter of Keith and Juanita (Whynot) Clayton, Torbrook. Mellisa loved working as a waitress and bartender and was employed with the End of the Line Pub, Bridgetown. She loved the ocean, music and all animals. Mellisa was a true people person and enjoyed being with her family and friends and loved all holidays, especially Christmas. She will be missed by all who knew her. Mellisa was a tissue donor, helping to improve the quality of lives for others. Besides her parents, she is survived by her husband, Shane Welton and her sons, Darius and Dawson, all of South Farmington; her sister, Natasha (Dan) Crosby, Evansburg, AB; her brother, Tyler Clayton (Ashley Farnsworth), Bloomington; maternal grandparents, Earl and Frances Whynot, Brickton; nephews, Alex, Curtis; nieces, Sophia, Boey, Kenzie, Bailey, Callie, Krista; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Mellisa is also survived by mother and father-in-law, Keith and Heather Welton, Wilmot; sisters-in-law, Michelle (Mike) Dowell, Wilmot; Melissa Welton (Tim Call), Calgary and paternal grandparents-in-law, Charles and Marjorie Welton, Kingston. She was predeceased by paternal grandparents, Austin Clayton and Pearl Clayton-Rafuse; paternal foster grandparents, Harold & Rosella Guest; maternal grandparents-in-law, Henry and Kathleen Prall and half-sister –in-law, Sherry-lee Baker. Visitation will be held 7:00PM – 9:00PM Wednesday, December 28, 2016 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448 where the funeral service will be held 11:00AM Thursday, December 29, 2016 with Rev. Bill McLeod officiating. Private family interment will be in Church Grove Cemetery, Melvern Square. A reception for family and friends will follow the service in the Nictaux Fire Hall.
