EDDISON, Melvin Brent-35 of Kingston, passed away suddenly Sunday, August 5, 2012 in Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Goose Bay, Labrador, he was a son of M. Harvey and Evelyn (Ward) Eddison of Kingston. Melvin was employed with Dexter's Construction. He was always the first person to lend a hand to family and friends or a stranger on the street. Melvin was a devoted father, caring brother and enjoyed life to the fullest. Besides his parents, he is survived by son, Brent Eddison, Kingston; brother, Marty Eddison (Josie Carter), Kingston; maternal grandparents, Sam and Dora Penney, Port Hope Simpson, NL; paternal grandparents, Carmen and Mabel Eddison, Hay Cove, NL; uncle, Mike Penney; niece, Gabrielle; nephew, Tyler; special friend and companion, Shannon Hohmann and her children, Kassidy, Kayleigh and Karissa all of Kingston. He was predeceased by cousin, Lindsay. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 15th, 2012 at the Central United Church, Hay Cove, NL with interment following in the Church Cemetery. A Celebration of Life service will be held at All Saint's Anglican Church, Kingston at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Middleton Funeral Home 398 Main Street (902) 825-3448.
