Martin, Melvin Ernest – 85, of Kingston, passed away Monday, December 20, 2021 in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Kempt, Queens County, he was a son of the late Reginald and Clara (Ritcey) Martin. Mel retired from the Royal Canadian Air Force after 31 years of service. He was a former deacon of the Kingston United Baptist Church. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, and hunting throughout his retirement. Surviving are his son Myles (Barbara) Martin, Haneytown, NB; sister Carol Ann MacLean, Nictaux; brother Allen (Joyce) Martin, Port Lorne; sisters-in-law Adrienne and Sheila; many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Margaret "Marge"; brothers Dennis and Ernest; brother-in-law David. Interment will take place at a later date in the Paradise Cemetery.
