TITUS, Meredith Ellen "Mary" 70, of Lequille, formerly of Freeport, passed away Thursday May 23, 2013 in the Annapolis Royal Nursing Home, Lequille. Born in Freeport, Digby County, she was the daughter of the late John Douglas and Gertrude Belle Thurber. Mom was a homemaker and loved her children and grandchildren. She was a member of Fair Isle Rebekah Lodge No. 92, Freeport for many years. She is survived by son, Jerry (Mariea) Titus, Yarmouth; daughter, Cheryl (Art) Samson, Halifax; grandchildren, Steve Titus, Billy Titus, Morgan Samson, Halifax and Mitchell Doucette, Yarmouth; sisters, Marge (Fraser) Lewis, Nanaimo, BC; Linda Elliott, Freeport, NS; Thelsa (Alton) Halliday, Cornwallis, NS; Vicky (Daniel) Outhouse, Tiverton, NS; Trudy Thurber, Saint John, NB; Dawn Thurber, Digby, NS; Jane (Jim) Stronach, Margaretsville, NS; Luanne (Randall) Titus, Central Grove, NS; brothers, John (Kathy) Thurber, Freeport and Brian Thurber, Freeport. She was predeceased by brother, Dale, Freeport. Cremation has taken place. Funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M., Sunday May 26 at the Freeport Baptist Church with Rev. John Dickenson, officiating. A reception for family and friends will be held at the church. Interment will be in Brookside Cemetery, Freeport. By request no flowers please. Donations in memory may be made to a Charity of Choice.
