Obituary

Desfossés, Michael Gerald ~ age 27 of Meadowvale, NS, passed away on November 13, 2025. Born on November 5, 1998 in North Bay, Ontario, he was a son of Laurent Desfossés and Darlene (MacDonald) Lannon.

Michael had a passion for sword fighting.  He loved and was a passionate coach and instructor at Kings Historical Fencing. As a member, he also attended many tournaments throughout Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. He was also a member of the 517 Cadet group in Greenwood. He enjoyed Warhammer models, Dungeons and Dragons, archery, paintball and airsoft, and was a talented self-taught guitar and violin player.

As quoted by a member of his fencing club: "Michael was such a brilliant fencer, but more importantly he was kind, welcoming, generous with his knowledge, down-to-earth, and his personality was infectious. He was a fantastic role model for the kids in our club and a great teacher and friend to the rest of us. We have lost someone truly special, and I know I speak for many of us when I say that we are very affected by this loss."
