HIGGINS, Michael Shawn – 26 of Wilmot passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at home. Born in Middleton he was a son of Sherman Higgins and Bonnie Wood, Kingston. Michael had a talent for building various things and fixing anything with a motor. He enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing, dirt biking and loved animals, especially his little dog "Max". Michael is survived by a sister Amanda Wood (Mike Richards), Wilmot; brothers Troy Higgins (Nicole Coleman), Torbrook, Barry Higgins (Erin Sproule), Middleton and Matthew Higgins, Kingston; maternal grandparents Whitney Wood and Geraldine Wood; niece Halie Higgins; nephews Noah Higgins and Paul Wood. He was predeceased by his aunt Peggy Connell. By request, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 22nd  in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., 902 825-3448, with Mr. Larry Sproule leading the service. Following the service, family and friends are welcome to the home of Michael's parent's, 1408 George St., Kingston for a time of fellowship.
