JOHNSON, Michael William – age 63 of Nictaux, NS passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 surrounded by his family. Born in Middleton, he was a son of Madeline "Maddie" Johnson, Nictaux and the late Donald Leroy Johnson. Mike was an Electrician for several years.  When he wasn't spending time with his family his next favorite thing was dropping a line in the water and trying to catch a big one. He was a member of "Country Generations" a band that toured Australia and recorded in Nashville several times.  Mike was a past member of the Nictaux Fire Department. He is survived by his loving wife Susan, Nictaux; his daughters, Shawna (Kris) Prince, Trinity, NL; Amanda (Peter) Zubchinsky, Caledon, ON; son, Adam Johnson, Brockville, ON; sisters, Sharon (Bill) Wentzell, Nictaux; Donna (Frank) Spinney, Harmony; Judy (Charles) Daborn, South Farmington; brothers, Alan (Julie) Johnson, Brickton; Darryl (Tammy) Johnson, Nictaux; grandchildren, Isla, Caulin, Gavin, Levi, Selina; mother-in-law Winnifred Lightfoot, Wilmot and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In keeping with Mike's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life service will be held 2:00PM Sunday, February 26, 2017 in Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448 with Rev. Patty Beals officiating. A reception for family and friends will follow the service in the Nictaux Fire Hall. By request, family flowers only please.
