SKANES, Mildred " Millie" Jean - 80 of Kingston, NS passed away suddenly Thursday, July 23, 2015 in Victoria General Hospital, Halifax. Born in Prince Edward Island, she was the daughter of the late Cedric and Mary Owen. Mildred was an active member of the Parish of Wilmot and was a founding member of All Saints Anglican Church, Kingston. She is survived by sons Robin (Cynthia), Petawawa ON, Paul, Cardinal ON and Mark, Victor Harbour Australia; grandchildren Robert, Aaron, Sheldon, Brenton, Nicholas, Connell, Savanna, Sheridan; great grandchildren Logan and Carter. Mildred was predeceased by her husband, Gordon. At Mildred's request, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held from 7 - 9 p.m. Tuesday, July 28, 2015 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, (902) 825 3448. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 29, 2015 in All Saints Anglican Church Kingston with Rev. Paul Jennings and Rev. Michael McKeage officiating. A reception will follow the service. Interment will be in Pine Grove cemetery, Middleton. By request, family flowers only. Donations in memory may be made to All Saints Anglican Church.
