SPINNEY, Mildred Kathleen ~ Age 99, of Middleton, Annapolis Co., N.S., passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 30, 2025, in Grand View Manor, Berwick. Born on April 26, 1926, in Mahone Bay, Lunenburg Co., she was a daughter of the late Frank and Pearl (Eisnor) Saltman.
Mildred was an active member of Emmanuel Congregational Christian Church, Middleton, Middleton Contemporary Club and Annapolis Valley Historical Society.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Mildred is survived by her daughter, Anita (James) Fleming, Halifax; son, Allen (Pauline) Spinney, Moschelle; grandchildren, Jennifer and Alexander Fleming; Steven and Colin Spinney; great grandchildren, Olivia, Ryan and Lily; niece, Heather (Bill) Girvin.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 36 years, Gerald M. Spinney; sister, Marjorie Strum; brothers, Fred and Claude Saltman; nephew, Robert Saltman.
All are welcome to attend the graveside at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, April 26, 2026 , in Black River Cemetery, Black River, Kings Co., with a reception to follow until 4 p.m., in Black River Community Hall, 989 Deep Hollow Road, Black River. Donations in her memory may be made to Emmanuel Congregational Christian Church, Middleton for the building fund or to outreach or to your favourite charity.
