ELLIOTT, Muriel Velda ~ age 96 of Digby, formerly of Tiverton, passed away peacefully Friday, April 19, 2019 in Tideview Terrace, Digby. Born in Freeport, she was the daughter of the late Vaughn and Pearl (Hersey) Lent. Muriel was the last surviving member of her siblings. She was a member of the Tiverton Baptist Church. Muriel was very family oriented and was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She could be always counted on for love and support for her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Muriel will be sadly missed by her daughter, Sherilyn (Donald) Sollows, Tiverton; son, Gorham "Davis"(Trina) Elliott, East Ferry; grandchildren, Dwayne Sollows and Lorraine Sollows Moore; great-grandchildren, Jeremy Sollows , Jared Sollows, Jacob Sollows, Jesse Burns , Sawyer Burns and Griffin Moore; great-great-grandchildren, Emmett Mullen, Trace Sollows and Franklin Meuse-Burns. Besides her parents, Muriel was predeceased by her husband, Gorham Elliott; sisters,Virginia Stewart, Beatrice Griffiths, Eva Outhouse, Anna Scrivens, Jeanette Perry, Alice Ossinger; brothers, Horace Lent, Phillip Lent, Vaughn "Bubby" Lent and Ernest Lent, in infancy. The family wishes to thank the staff of Tideview Terrace for their kindness and excellent care during her time there. Muriel made many friends among the staff and had her "favourites" and thought they were very special. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 24 ^th in Tiverton Baptist Church with Rev. Russell Prime officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Tiverton.
