Obituary

KEDDY, Muriel Evelyn ~ Age 84, of Aylesford, Kings Co., N.S., passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2025, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born on August 15, 1940, in Berwick, she was a daughter of the late Oscar W. and Ida M. (Tupper) Tupper. Muriel was known for decorating cakes, making the best apple and blueberry pies. She was a wonderful seamstress making clothes for G.I. Joe and Barbies. Muriel's true passions were knitting, music and attending jam sessions in Harmony, Port George and Black Rock. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are her son, Robert (Kim) Keddy, Aylesford; daughters, Anne Keddy, Wilmot; Laurena (Bob) vanDeudekom, Aylesford;  grandchildren, Erin vanDeudekom (Stas Kharitonov), Elmsdale; Jordan vanDeudekom (Angela Kinder), Halifax; Sonya (Scott) Hastings, Cole Harbour; Hilary Pettigrew (Devon Kitching), Upper Hammonds Plains; Dylan Keddy (Kalie Wetter), Nictaux; Dustin Keddy (Alexandra Dukeshire), Aylesford; great grandchildren, Addison Hastings, Harrison, Bentley and Bobbi Keddy. Besides her parents, Muriel was predeceased by her husband, Garnet R. Keddy; brothers, Willis, Eddie, Terry and Nolan Tupper; sister, Valera Hoeksma. Visitation will take place from 6-8 p.m., Thursday evening in Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, toll free 1-855-825-3448, from where memorial service and reception will take place 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 16. Rev. Jeff Milne officiating, with interment in St. Mary's Anglican Cemetery, Auburn. Family flowers only, donations in her memory may be made to Arthritis Society Canada – Nova Scotia.
