Aldred, Murray Arthur – 74, of Meadowvale, passed away on Monday, September 7, 2026, at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Berwick, he was a son of the late Russell and Jean (White) Aldred.
Murray enjoyed a love of motorcycles (on and off road) with friends and his cousin Gordie. His family raised him with a great love for the outdoors, including camping, hunting small and big game. This was a love he passed onto his kids and their friends, including a few years as a Beavers/Cubs leader. He later passed this passion onto his grandchildren.
Murray attended Kingstec where he successfully completed their meat cutters program. He later obtained his Red Seal as a chef while working in the kitchens at CFB Greenwood, where he enjoyed cooking for his 36-year career.
More than anything, Murray will be remembered for the joy he brought to those around him. He loved to tease, always seemed to have a bit of mischief in him, and brought plenty of laughter wherever he went. Beneath that playful spirit was a man who loved his family deeply and was deeply loved in return. His warmth, humor and presence will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him.
Surviving is his loving wife of 47 years, Theresa (Cross); daughter, Jessica Daigle (Michael Jefferson), South Farmington; son, Martin Aldred (Lisa Fowler), Meadowvale; grandchildren, Ethan Aldred (Phoenix Salzman), Nictaux; Chase Milner, Clementsvale; Wyatt Daigle (Ashlyn Cook), South Farmington; Autumn Milner-Aldred, Clementsvale; Lucas Daigle, South Farmington; Dean Milner-Aldred, Clementsvale; Abel Jefferson, South Farmington; and ‘kinda’ grandson, Cole Sawler; great granddaughter, Wren Aldred; sister, Betty (John) Walker, Dartmouth; brothers, John Aldred, Dartmouth; Robert “Bob” (Janice) Aldred, British Columbia.
Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Elwood “Al” (Wendy) Aldred.
Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 11, 2026, in Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, 1-855-825-3448. Rev. Jeff Milne officiating.
