Obituary

Murray Christopher Weir, known as Chris, passed away suddenly at his home in Kingston, Nova Scotia, on January 27, 2026, at the age of 64. Born on November 3, 1961, in Annapolis Royal, he was the son of Judy Price and the late Lloyd Weir. Chris was a talented professional painter and drywaller who ran his own successful business, "Chris's Interior Painting." His exceptional attention to detail and charming personality earned him the respect and admiration of many in the surrounding communities. Chris is survived by his loving partner, Janet Ogilvie of Melvern Square; his children, Andrew "Drew" Weir of Yarmouth; stepdaughter, Alicia Graveline of Auburn; Michelle Pulsifer, Fauxburg; Natasha Pulsifer, Cambridge; Ashlee Aptt-Weir of Bear River; and Christa Steeves of Canning. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren, Amber, Kai, Damon, Kohen, Jaxen, and Kenzie; his siblings, Ian Weir (Nancy) of Lower Sackville; and Michael Weir of Australia; by his mother, Judy Price (Jim De Swart) of Middleton; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Murray and Edna Weir (Magarvie); his father, Lloyd Weir; his maternal grandparents, Dorothy Price "Nanny Dot" and Ian Price and his uncle, Richard Weed. A service to celebrate Chris's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 31, 2026, in Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, 1-855-825-3448 with Pastor Brandon Lake officiating.
