Obituary

LEE, Murray Creighton – age 69, South Berwick, Kings Co., passed away on September 16, 2016, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born on July 3, 1947, in Kentville, he was a son of the late Murray P. and Ella M. (Rose) Lee. Murray was a well-known brick layer and mason, owning and operating Murray's Masonry for 37 years and was very devoted to his business and the people he served. He was a people person, who loved to get to know everyone and tell them a good joke. Murray enjoyed the simple things in life, such as fishing, being in the woods and tinkering in his garage. He was a faithful attendee of the Harmony Jam sessions and was proud of the fact that he taught himself to play the guitar. Murray was a loving husband and father, was devoted to his granddaughters and great-grandson and was a friend to many. He was very protective of his family, helping them and would drop everything to assist them in any way he could. Surviving are his wife, the former Gloria E. Silver; son, Gregory (Natasha) Lee, Black Rock; granddaughters, Danielle and Jessica; great-grandson, Owen; brother, James (Julia) Lee, Sheffield Mills; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a son in infancy; brother, Arthur Lee; sister, Christina Graves. A private interment will take place in Berwick Cemetery. All are welcome to attend a Celebration of Murray's life that will take place from 2-5 p.m., Saturday, September 24, at the residence of Gregory and Natasha Lee, 3518 Black Rock Rd., Black Rock.
