MAPPLEBECK, Murray "Phillip" - 60 of North Kingston passed away Thursday, January 19, 2012 in Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in North Kingston he was a son of the late Henry and Edna Mae (Ward) Mapplebeck. Phillip was a kind, gentle person who greeted every one with a smile. He enjoyed fishing with his brothers Bill and Bob, especially in Cape Breton and Newfoundland. Phillip not only loved to fish and eat his catch, but everyone else's too! He could spot the Golden Arches of MacDonald's miles away. He also enjoyed country music, wrestling, and action movies. He is survived by sister, Elizabeth (Bob) Beattie, Aylesford; brothers, William "Bill", North Kingston and Robert, Port Williams; sisters-in-law, Ruth Mapplebeck, Greenwood Square; Dorothy Mapplebeck, Wilmot; niece, Louise Lockwood; nephews Michael, Kevin and Terry Mapplebeck and Sean Beattie. He was predeceased by sister, Eleanor and brother, Clair. Visitation will be held from 7-9 PM Sunday, January 22nd in the Middleton Funeral Home 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448, where a funeral service will be held 2:00PM Monday, January 23rd, Rev. Leon Langille officiating. Interment will be in the North Kingston Cemetery. By request, family flowers only.
