It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Nancy Lee Botham (née Mosher) on October 30, 2026 in Valley Hospice, Kentville. Nancy passed away peacefully, surrounded by her children.
Nancy was predeceased by her beloved husband, Alan Botham, and by her parents, Maisie and Fenwick Mosher.
She is lovingly remembered by her brothers, David Mosher and Wayne Mosher; her daughter, Kimberley Botham; her son, David Botham (Jennifer); and her cherished grandchildren, Lauryn, Emily, Kaitlin, Aveling, and Graeme. She also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will miss her deeply.
Nancy graduated from the Victoria General Hospital School of Nursing in March 1972. She worked for many years with Dr. Robert Gunn in his family practice in Kentville, where her compassion and kindness were appreciated by both patients and colleagues alike.
Above all else, Nancy was devoted to her family. She was a truly selfless woman who unfailingly placed the needs and happiness of those she loved ahead of her own. Her family was always her first priority, and she found her greatest joy in caring for and supporting those around her. Her quiet strength, generous spirit, and unwavering love formed the foundation of her family and will continue to inspire those who knew her. She gave freely of herself, asking for little in return, and leaves behind a legacy of compassion, resilience, and unconditional love.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the Annapolis Valley Palliative Care Team and the staff of Valley Hospice for the compassionate care, kindness, and dignity they provided during Nancy's final days and hours.
In keeping with Nancy's wishes, there will be no funeral service.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Nancy's memory may be made to the Valley Hospice Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society. Arrangements have been entrusted to Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, 1-855-825-3448.
