THERIAULT, Nellie Louise – Age 93, of Weymouth, NS, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at the Annapolis Royal Nursing Home.

Born in Weymouth, she was a daughter of the late William and Flossie (Brown) Nesbit. Nellie dedicated 55 years to Weymouth Motors, working in the accounting department. A woman of faith, she taught Sunday school for 19 years at Ashmore Baptist Church and served as treasurer for 35 years at Riverside Baptist Church. She was also active in Christian Girls in Training, led by Eleanor Hankinson.

Nellie and her husband, Franklin, shared a love of horses and enjoyed showing them for over 25 years. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

She is survived by her stepchildren, Linda (Gary) Halliday, Lansdowne; Roger (Lynn) Theriault, Hamilton, ON; JoAnn (Kenneth) Johnstone, Medicine Hat, AB; several step-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Franklin; sisters Violet, Ernestine, Dorothy, Mildred "Patsy," and Kathleen; brothers Victor, Jack, Charlie, Kenneth, Stanley, and Theodore (in infancy); stepson Roger Theriault; and step-grandson Dana.

In keeping with Nellie's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 5, 2025, in Ashmore Baptist Church, 5797 Highway 101, with Rev. Rick Warner officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Weymouth North.
