OIKLE, Nettie Mildred - 85 of Middleton peacefully passed away Friday, May 3, 2013 in Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Truro, she was a daughter of the late John and Gladys (Chapman) Breen. She was a longstanding member of the Myrtle Rebekah Lodge No. 46. Over the years her hobbies included bowling, curling, knitting, playing bingo, going to auctions and travelling. She and Don travelled extensively throughout Canada and the US. She is survived by daughter, Charlene (Lloyd) Lombard, Middleton; sons, Robert "Bob" Oikle, Middleton and Peter (Krista Bent) Oikle, Nictaux; sisters, Ruth (Reginald) Delaney, Truro and Beverly (Gordon) Travis, Hilden; brother, Hugh Breen, Truro; grandchildren, Amber Oikle; Daniel Oikle; Scott (Sabine) Oikle; Corbyville, ON; David (Niki) Oikle, Salmon Arm, BC; Sherry Oikle, Vernon, BC; great grandchildren, Mackenzie, Samantha, Adam, Sebastian and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Don, sister, Evelyn and brothers, Bud, Jack, Don and David. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 2:00PM, Saturday, May 11, 2013 in the Middleton Funeral Home with Rev. Patty Beals officiating. The Rebekah Lodge No. 46 sisters will begin the service. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Middleton. A reception for family and friends will follow. The family extends special thanks to Dr. MacLean and the staff of Soldiers Memorial Hospital for the wonderful care given to mom.
