BANKS, Nilda Elizabeth-89 of Nictaux passed away Thursday, January 13, 2011 in North Hills Nursing Home, Granville Ferry. Born in Welsford N.S. she was a daughter of the late Kenneth and Sadie (Kinsman) Brown. Nilda was a member of the Nictaux Baptist Church and also belonged to a number of womens organizations. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, tatting and playing 45s and always enjoyed company, especially her family. Nilda is survived by her daughter, Marion Whitman, Nictaux; son, Les (Elaine), Green Acres, Kingston. Grandchildren, Sandra Milne, Christine Wakeham and Kevin Banks as well as great grandchildren Haylee Milne and Cooper Milne, Dominic Banks and Alylah Banks. She was predeceased by her husband Earle; brothers Kinsman and Murray; sister, Evelyn Pierce and son-in-law Loyson Whitman. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 2:30 p.m. Sunday, January 16, 2011 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448 Rev. Bill McLeod and Pastor Patty Beals officiating.
