VALENTINE, Nora Beatrix 90 of Halifax passed away Saturday, October 2, 2010 in Dykeland Lodge, Windsor, N.S. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Beatrix (Rutherford) Barron. Nora was a retired post mistress, employed at McQuinns Drug Store, Halifax. Throughout their lives, she and her late husband Douglas, shared a love of horses and dogs. Nora is survived by several nieces and nephews, but was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was predeceased by her husband Captain (H.F.D.) Douglas Valentine, and one sister Elizabeth Thurber. By request, there will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 5th in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lower Sackville, Rev. Carson Baxter officiating.
