Obituary

Taylor, Norma Elizabeth – Age 71 of Nictaux South, passed away Friday, April 5, 2024, at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Kentville, she was a daughter of the late Harvey and Etta (Whitman) Shearer.

Norma worked as a hairdresser for 47 years. She also worked as a cook for Mountain Lea Lodge and Grace Haven as a CCA. She was a fantastic cook and cooked for Lawrencetown Restaurant and the exhibition dining halls.

Norma liked gardening, fishing, hunting, playing bingo, swimming, skating, and attending exhibitions alongside husband, Richard. She loved her family and always enjoyed watching the grandchildren ride horses.

Norma is survived by her loving husband, Richard Taylor; daughter, Jacqueline (James Van Roestel) Taylor; grandchildren, Keoni (Jonah) Walker, Janelle (Colton) Walker, Elizabeth Taylor & Rachel Taylor; great grandchildren, Lincoln Walker-Spidell; sisters, Annette Dumbrell & Susan (Jim) Lutz; brother, Gary (Bev) Shearer; daughter-in-law, Lisa Taylor; many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Norma was predeceased by son, Richard Taylor, sister, Shirley; brothers, Gordon, Bill, Jack, Wayne & Paul.
