Olive Iola
Luddington
April 30, 1932 – January 11, 2026
It saddens us to announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Olive Iola Luddington, 93, on Sunday, January 11, 2026 in Grand View Manor, Berwick. She was born in Aylesford on April 30, 1932 to Walter and Bertha Parks. On August 16, 1951, she married the love of her life, Kenneth Luddington. He predeceased her in 2020 after 68 years of marriage. She was also predeceased by her daughter, Pamela, granddaughter, Robyn, sister Maxine, and brothers Aubrey and Willis. Olive was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Together she and Ken travelled, camped, and enjoyed music festivals, exhibitions, and horse pulls. Being an extremely social person, Olive loved to go to Bingo and was always lucky, bringing home her winnings! Plants were always thriving under her green thumb. Her children and grandchildren were never cold due to her busy knitting needles – sweaters, socks, and mittens. Olive was never one to stay home no matter what the road conditions were!! She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Mayflower Chapter No. 2 and was just five months shy of being 60 year member. She is survived by her children, James (Anna); Sheri MacDonald (Rod); Glenn (Melody); Susan (David "Steve") Brown; son-in-law, Marty Halker; her adored grandchildren, Megan (Kellie), Jim (Bobby-Jo); Caleb (Larissa); Kyle; Lori (Chris); Dustin (Shelley); Amber; Olivia (Dan); and Christen; eight great grandchildren.
Tribute by the Order of the Eastern Star will be held at 1:00 p.m. followed by a Celebration of Life on Thursday, January 15, 2026 in Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, toll free 1-855-825-3448.
