Obituary

UHLMAN, Olive Janett 87 of Bridgetown and formerly of Greenwood passed away peacefully, Sunday, April 3, 2011in Mountain Lea Lodge, Bridgetown. Born in Torbrook, she was a daughter of the late Olman and Alice (Judge) Johnson. Olive was a member of the Wilmot Baptist Church and at one time taught Sunday School at the Tremont Baptist Church. She will be remembered by her sons as being a loving wife and mother who dedicated her time to raising her family. Surviving are sons; David (Norma), Kingston, Jamaica, Murray (Carole), Halifax, Garry (Rita), Kingston, NS, Malcolm (Judy), Greenwood and Stephen (Kim), Grand Bay Westfield, NB. Sisters; Ada Wentzell, Nictaux and Olga Conrad, Bridgewater; one brother Phillip (Laura), Bridgetown. Seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Norman; sons Norman Philip and James Addison; brothers Allison, Addison Wessy, Harry in infancy and a sister Orme Woodbury. By request, there will be no visitation. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 9, 2011 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448, Rev. Fred Bigelow officiating, followed by a reception. Private interment will take place in the Tremont Cemetery. By request, family flowers only. Donations in memory may be made to the Alzheimers Society of Nova Scotia or to Mountain Lea Lodge.
