Johnson, Opal Lila Ann – 44, Middleton, passed away Friday, September 8, 2023 at home. Born on May 22, 1979 in Middleton, she was the daughter of Jean Johnson-Demers (Robert "Bob" Demers), Greenwood Square. Opal went to school in Middleton. Opal was a proud member of Gloosecap First Nation. She suffered with MS and other health complications.  Her contagious laugh, her beautiful smile, her outgoing spirit and always being a friend when anyone needed one will be missed by so many people. The world is different today. A social butterfly who loved fishing, bonfires, and hosting a party. Opal was always happiest when surrounded by her family and friends. An independent and generous soul who played hard, loved hard, and lived hard. She was a beautiful person inside and out and the brightest light. Always there with love, kindness, and compassion. Surviving are her daughters, Meadow Bishop, and Ruby-Jean Johnson, both of Middleton; her mother, Jean; brother Levi (Tiffany) Landry, Kitchener, ON; nieces and nephew, Sierra, Bentley, and MacKenzie; Meadow's father Jason Bishop; in-laws Debbie and Steve Bishop, Chester; three aunts and three uncles. Special thanks to Gary Sabean for all his continued support and care of Meadow and Ruby-Jean. Predeceased by her grandmother, Rose Moir and her great grandmother Mary Pictou. Visitation will be held 6-8 pm Wednesday, September 13 and memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Friday, September 15, 2023 both in Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St. 902-825-3448. Fr.
