Pamela Joyce Longmire (Nauss)
April 3, 1949 – January 17, 2026
Pamela Joyce Longmire (Nauss) passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, January 17, 2026.
She was the beloved daughter of the late Douglas and Myrtle (McKinnon) Nauss and was predeceased by her husband, Clyde Lorne Longmire Sr.; sisters Marie, Janie, and Catherine; brother Jimmy; niece Pamela in infancy; nephew Matthew; niece Samantha; and her special lifelong friend, Sheila Clayton!
Pamela is lovingly remembered by her children: Donna (Kenny), Anthony, Clyde (Cindy), and Sarah (Matthew). She was a proud grandmother to Pammie, Melissa, Jesse, Dakota, and Tristan, and a cherished great-grandmother to Skye, Shawn, Emma, Ella, and Adeline.
She is also survived by her sisters Nancy (Vincent) and Sally; sister-in-law Beverly; nieces Tammy, Kim, Heidi, Debbie, Cathy, Jennifer, Kathy, Patricia, and Roxanne; nephews Mark, Shaun, Michael, Richard, Rodney, Jamie, Daniel, and Paul; and her dear friend, Mary Kidson.
Pamela was a hard worker who dedicated many years of her life to caring for the elderly in her home, providing comfort, dignity, and compassion. She loved gardening and had a remarkable ability to make anything grow. She enjoyed road trips—especially with her daughter Sarah—to Frenchy's and browsing yard sales, where the two fondly referred to themselves as Thelma and Louise, always finding joy in life's simple pleasures together!
Pamela also shared a deep love of music and was rarely without a song, always listening and singing. She especially enjoyed the music of Reba McEntire and Elton John. Through her love of music, she gave her children a lasting gift—one that continues to live on through them.
Though she was a small woman, Pamela believed she could do anything—and often proved it! In her later years, she especially enjoyed spending time with her beloved grand fur-babies, Heidi, Hilton, Alfred, and Marley.
Pamela will be remembered for her strength, kindness, and unwavering work ethic. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
