Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Pamela Jane Turner, who left us peacefully at home in Nictaux on September 4th, surrounded by her loving family, at the age of 70.

Born in Middleton on August 14, 1955, Pam was a woman who embraced life to the fullest. Her kind heart, adventurous spirit, and unwavering love shaped the lives of all who knew her. She was the foundation of her family — always giving, always helping, always there.

Pam is survived by her loving children: Carrie Turner (Anthony) of Greenwood, Tammy Turner (Chad) of Nictaux, and Greg Turner of Torbrook; her cherished grandchildren: Myrissa, Jacey (Cody), Jamie (Ryan), Kalie (Dylan), Chelsey, Alyssa (Griffin), and her late granddaughter Kerstin (Trevor); and her treasured great-grandchildren: Morgan, McKenzie, Madin, Seth, Quinn, Violet, and Haley.

She will also be deeply missed by her sisters: Elizabeth (Derek) of Greenwood and Patricia (Arthur) of Hampton; and lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and her dear Aunt Helen "Honey".

Pam was predeceased by her beloved husband, David Turner; her granddaughter, Kerstin; her sister, Brenda; and her parents, Phyllis and Alfred Oakes — along with other loved ones who no doubt greeted her with open arms.

Simply put, Pam loved life. She was always up for an adventure — whether it was camping, bonfires, beach days, hunting for beach glass, hiking, shopping, gardening, baking, or sleepovers. She especially cherished time spent with her children and grandchildren and was always ready for a spontaneous outing or fun-filled day together. Saturday nights were often spent around the table playing cards with family and friends, a tradition she treasured and one that brought endless laughter and joy.

Her greatest joys and accomplishments were the love of, and the gift of being, a Mom and Grammie.

She especially loved Christmas, and her annual Christmas parties were legendary — filled with so much laughter, food, games, and her ugly sweater tradition that everyone looked forward to each year.

Her warmth, strength, and joyful spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Pam's memory may be made to Carey-Me – Supporting Palliative Care In The Home.
