BRITNEY, Patricia "Pat" Elizabeth – 84, of Kingston, passed away November 28, 2022, in Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Vancouver, BC, she was a daughter of the late James Walker and Audrey (Johnson) Cruickshank. Pat graduated from The Vancouver General Hospital in February 1961. She met her husband "Jack", they got married and moved to Winnipeg, MN, where Jack was stationed with the Royal Canadian Air Force. Pat lived also in Sacramento, California, Northern Ireland and finally retiring at Greenwood. She worked as a nurse in Vancouver, Winnipeg, and at Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, in Middleton for 20 years retiring in 1995. Pat did relief work for the VON Annapolis County and for the Middleton Vocational School instructing the Certified Nursing Assistance students. She enjoyed travelling with her brother on trips to Russia, England, Wales, Scotland and France and she enjoyed travelling with her husband and sons during his military career. Pat's happiest times was spending it with family and friends.  She was survived by her husband, John "Jack" Britney, Kingston, who passed away just six weeks after her; sons, Marc (Karla) Britney, and David (Marianne) Britney, both of Middleton; sister, Kathleen "Hope" (Ray) Chapman, Winnipeg, Man.; four grandchildren, Alaina, Kyra, Steven and Erin; two great grandchildren, Mercy and Augustus. Besides her parents she was predeceased by a brother, John Melrose Cruickshank. Cremation has taken place.  A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 29, 2023 in North Kingston Cemetery.
