Patricia Grace Banks "Patsy"
Age 59, of Kingston N.S, passed away peacefully on February 22, 2019. Born January 24, 1960, in Bridgewater, Lunenburg Co., she was the daughter of the late Douglas and Virginia (Burns) McKean. Patsy had a great sense of humour and a great love for her family and friends. She adored her dogs and enjoyed camping, in particular, at her favourite campground of Kejimkujik National Park. She had a huge, caring heart and was always a comforting, reliable presence.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Joseph Banks; her son Matthew (Kelly) Banks, Dartmouth; daughter Nichole (Benjamin) Garonce,
Eastern Passage; her two brothers David (Debbie) McKean, Wentzells Lake; Michael (Darlene) McKean, Wentzells Lake; and her grandson Ryan Banks. Patsy will also be forever fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends. Heartfelt thanks to Bernadette Burns and Donna Davison for being supportive friends. Special acknowledgment to the nursing staffs at Annapolis Community Health Center and the Soldiers Memorial Hospital for their care and dedication to her comfort and well-being. Patsy will rest at the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, Middleton, toll free 1-855-825-3448 with visitation Monday, February 25 from 2 pm to 4 pm. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 26 at 11 am in Pinehurst, N.S., at the New West Pine United Church, with Pastor Gary Carey officiating . Burial will follow in the Pinehurst Community Cemetery. Family flowers only, please. Donations may be made in Patsy's memory to the Pinehurst Community Cemetery Society, the New West Pine United Church, the Canadian Cancer Society, Diabetes Canada, or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada. A small reception will follow at the Pinehurst Community Hall where condolences, words of comfort, and remembrance of Patsy may be shared with the family.
