WOOD, Patricia Helen ~ It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of my dear mommy, Patricia Helen Wood, on Thursday, March 7, 2019. She passed away peacefully at Valley Regional Hospital surrounded by her loving family, or who she often referred to as "Her Girls". Born July 19, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Robie Addison Banks and Mabel Lillian Durling. She is survived by her daughter, Brenda (Johnny) Foster, granddaughters, Kristen, Becky, Courtney; sister, Judy (Brian) Morash and brother, David (Janet) Banks. She was predeceased by her Mom, Dad and brother Keith (Marion) Durling. My Mom was always my best friend since I was a little girl and we spent so much time together. You could always count on Mom to tell the truth, even if it wasn't what you wanted to hear. Not a second passes when she is not on my mind and I count myself grateful for having her as my Mom. She often told me that I was a great Mother and that is because I learned from the very best. I would like to thank all the nurses and doctors in the ICU in Kentville for their wonderful care. In keeping with Mom's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private burial will take place at a later date. My dear Mommy will be sadly missed by her family.
