May 19, 1963 – September 14, 2019
Age 56, of Melvern Square, died suddenly on Sept. 14, 2019, as the result of an accident in the woods. Born May 19, 1963, in Yarmouth, he was the son of Louis and Phyllis (Pothier) Cottreau and surrogate son of mother-in-law, Kathleen Doucet. He is survived by his wife, Anne Doucet; their son, René Doucet Cottreau; his sisters, Ellen (Franklin) Cottreau; Jocelyn (Sandy) Roddick; sisters-in-law, Jeannie Doucet (Harvey Wolfe); Aline Doucet (Jody Bailey); Carola Baker; Patty Saunders (Shaun). He will also be missed by his nephews, Matthew Doucet (with whom he'd had a special bond, as half surrogate Dad/half uncle); Jonathan Saunders; Ryan Baker; Noah Wolfe; Devin (Holly) Roddick; and André (Emily) Cottreau; as well as nieces, Rachelle (Andrew) Dickie; Adrienne (Dan) Gould; Amy (Matt) Roddick; Jaime Baker; and Jenica Saunders. His absence will also be felt by dear family friend, Olga Comeau and high school buddy, Donnie Doucette. Pat worked at Michelin as a Quality Guarantee Controller and will leave a big space to fill there amongst his many friends and co-workers.
He was predeceased by father-in-law and special friend, John Doucet, LCol (Ret'd). Celebration of Life will be held at the Margaretsville Fire Hall on Saturday, September 28, 2019 starting at 1:00 PM.
