CROWELL, Paul Edward-73 of Beaconsfield, NS passed away peacefully Monday, January 21, 2013 in Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton surrounded by his wife and close friend. Paul retired after 30 years with Registry of Motor Vehicles as a Driver Improvement Officer. He loved sports, was an avid golfer and a member of the Eden Golf and Country Club. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, the former Carolyn Green; daughters, Sharon (Robert) Higgins, Gabriel Island, BC; Heather, Kentville; Gail (Roger) McDonald, Edmonton, AB; son, Robert "Bob" Crowell, Halifax; sisters, Peggy Gendre, Ontario; Pat Squirrel, BC; Linda MacDonald, Hatchett Lake, NS; brother, David (Eille) Crowell, BC, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents. By Paul's request, cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral service. A reception for family and friends will be held 1:00PM, Friday, January 25, 2013 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street (902) 825-3448. By request, family flowers only.
