Obituary

MACLEAN, Paul Freeman – age 81, of Meadowvale passed away Thursday, December 29 th , 2016, at Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Nictaux, Paul was the son of the late Freeman David and Dorothy Olive (Willett) MacLean. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Paul retired in 1995 from the Town of Middleton Public Works Department where he had worked since 1969. He loved wood carving, model airplanes and oil painting. Paul is survived by his daughters, Susan MacLean of Meadowvale, Bonnie (Ed) Annis of Nictaux; son, David (Carol) MacLean of Nictaux; grandchildren, Alex (Rose) MacLean of Greenwood, Andrew (Amanda) MacLean of Kingston, Cameron MacLean of Meadowvale, Justin Annis and Shawn Annis of Nictaux and Donna (Mike) Durling of Bridgetown; great grandchildren, Nova, Taylor, Dax, Morgan and Cassidy. Besides his parents Paul was predeceased by his wife, Frances. In keeping with Paul's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service. Interment will be in the Nictaux Cemetery in the spring. Donations in Paul's memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
