BARKER, Pauline Marie - 84, of Wilmot, NS passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 22, 2013 in the Heart of the Valley Long Term Care Centre, Middleton. Born in Wilmot, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Abigail (Taylor) Boates. Pauline was a member of the All Saints Anglican Church, Kingston and in her earlier years was a member of the Wilmot Garden Club. She loved her family dearly, especially all her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Pauline was always very proud of having been born in and lived her entire life in Wilmot. She is the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, George Barker; her daughters, Linda (Bob) Larder, Kingston; Shirl (Jerry) Sawler, Wilmot; Karen (Eric) Spidle, Wilmot and Wendy (Graham) Banks, Wilmot; her sons, Les (Star) Barker, Wilmot and Chris (Theresa) Barker, Middleton; brothers-in-law, Victor Gilmour, Carleton Place, ON and Alfred (Jo) Barker, St. George, NB; her grandchildren, Neil (Tracy) Larder, Kingston; Anne (Jim) Marshall, East Torbrook; Justin (Brenda) Barker, Wilmot; Tara Barker (Alex Balcom), Wilmot; Craig (Fran) Sawler, Kingston; Troy Sawler (Kaitlin Russell), Halifax; Tisha (Jeff) Hart, Calgary; Melanie (Chad) Smith, Beaverbank; Paul (Lauren) Barker, Redland, California; Jody Spidle, Middleton; Tina (Chad) Uhlman, Middleton; Dawn & Cody Spidle, Wilmot; Evan & Kyle Banks, Wilmot; her great grandchildren, Andrew, Jenna & Gregory Marshall, Hanna & Cassie Larder, Bella Barker, Alex & Matt Lewis, Mason & Mac Sawler, Brittany Saltzman-Sawler, Alainya, Ava & Gabe Hart, Matthew & Anna Smith, Owen & Noah Barker and Jadyn Phinney and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Mazie, Chuckie, Tommie, Abbie and brothers Lorne, Tib, John, Bob, Bill, Roy and Reg. Visitation will be held 7-9PM Sunday, May 26, 2013 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448 where the funeral service will be held 2:00PM Monday, May 27, 2013 with Rev. Matthew Sponagle officiating. A reception for family and friends will follow the service. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Middleton.
