July 12, 1923 – April 13, 2017
SLAUENWHITE, Pauline Margaret - of Kingston, NS passed away quietly in the early morning hours of Thursday, April 13, 2017 in Soldiers Memorial Hospital, after a brief illness. Pauline will be sadly missed by her daughters Victoria Cobham of Berwick, and Debra (David) Corkum of Kingston; granddaughter Tammy Sue (Adam) Lutz and precious great grandchildren Olivia and Owen of Berwick; brother Lawrence Berry of Greenwood; sister-in-law Gladys Toole of Kingston, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband George, grandson Kelly, sister Marjorie Richardson of Lunenburg, and parents Walter and Hilda (Eisnor) Berry of Clementsport. A kind and generous person, Pauline will be remembered for her beautiful crocheted afghans which have travelled across the country to bring warmth and comfort to many, as well as her donations to organizations to share with others. At 93 years of age, she was still crocheting to give warmth where needed. Also known for her famous molasses cookies, many neighborhood children recall them, even today. Cremation has taken place, and there will be a private family graveside service at 2:00 PM on Tuesday April 18, 2017 in the North Kingston Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Isaac Walton Killam Hospital for Children or the charity of your choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street. 902-825-3448.
